Panama Expands Visa Exemption for Travelers with Permits from Select Countries
The government of Panama has introduced a decree easing visa requirements for certain foreign nationals. Travelers from countries that would normally require a visa to enter Panama can now do so without one if they hold a valid visa or residence permit issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States, or any European Union member country.
The updated policy removes previous conditions, such as the requirement that the visa or permit be multiple-entry, used previously in the issuing country, or valid for at least six months beyond entry. Now, travelers only need to show that their visa or permit is valid at the time of entry into Panama.
