Provisional residence visa for demographic reasons, family reunion as a spouse of a panamanian.\n\n<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This residence visa can be requested by a foreigner who has married a Panamanian national and lives with them under conditions of singularity, stability, and continuity.<\/p>

This visa is granted for a period of two years, and subsequently, upon expiration, the applicant may apply for permanent residence with the right to a permanent resident card issued by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama.<\/p>

The requirements to apply for provisional residence are as follows:<\/p>

  1. Powers of attorney and forms that we will provide for your signature.<\/li>
  2. Five (5) passport-sized photographs.<\/li>
  3. Copy of your passport's complete pages with a minimum validity of three months.<\/li>
  4. Criminal record certificate from the country of origin or residence, duly apostilled or authenticated at the Consulate of Panama in the country where it was issued.<\/li>
  5. Certificate of good health issued by a doctor in Panama.<\/li>
  6. Payment of B\/.250.00 to the National Treasury for the right to migratory category. (Certified check)<\/li>
  7. Marriage certificate issued by the Civil Registry.<\/li>
  8. Birth certificate of the Panamanian spouse, issued by the Civil Registry.<\/li>
  9. Birth certificates of Panamanian children, if any, issued by the Civil Registry.<\/li>
  10. Copy of the national identity card of the Panamanian spouse, authenticated by the Electoral Tribunal.<\/li>
  11. Notarized letter of responsibility and Repatriation from the Panamanian spouse.<\/li>
  12. Document proving the marital domicile (Lease agreement, Property title, or Public service receipt confirming the domicile).<\/li><\/ol>

    Observations:<\/p>

    1. Once the application is submitted, the applicant must attend an interview at the National Migration Service's facilities along with their spouse.<\/li>
    2. The National Migration Service may exempt the foreigner with two (2) common Panamanian children from the marital interview.<\/li>
    3. An applicant who becomes widowed or divorced during the term of their provisional visa and has children from the marriage may opt for permanent residence. In the first case, they must provide the death certificate of their spouse and the birth certificates of the children born during the marriage.<\/li><\/ol>

      To apply for permanent residence, the above requirements will be submitted, excluding the Certificate of Criminal Records and the check.<\/p>

      This residence visa allows the option to apply for a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development. To apply for this work permit, the following requirements must be met:<\/p>

      1. Complete the online registration process.<\/li>
      2. Powers of attorney that we will provide for your signature.<\/li>
      3. Certificate issued by the National Migration Service indicating the applicant's immigration status.<\/li>
      4. Copy of the main page of the passport.<\/li>
      5. Marriage certificate issued by the Electoral Tribunal with a maximum of three (3) months prior to the application.<\/li>
      6. Copy of the national identity card of the Panamanian spouse, authenticated by the Electoral Tribunal.<\/li>
      7. Birth certificate of the children, if any, issued by the Electoral Tribunal.<\/li>
      8. Marital interview.<\/li><\/ol>
