Provisional residence visa for foreigner hired by a company under 10% quota or 15% quota<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This provisional residence visa is suitable for foreigners who have a promise of a work permit from a company in Panama and are covered by the company's ability to hire foreign labor within the specified percentages.<\/p>

The provisional residence visa for 10% quota is for foreign workers in positions not considered positions of trust and receiving a minimum monthly income of eight hundred and fifty dollars ($. 850.00). The provisional residence visa for 15% quota is for foreign workers occupying positions of trust within the company, such as Managers, Supervisors, Administrators, Directors, etc.<\/p>

Both residence visas are granted for a period of two years, and upon expiration, applicants may apply for a permanent residence permit with the right to a permanent resident card issued by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama.<\/p>

Requirements for the provisional residence visa:<\/p>

  1. Powers of attorney and forms that we will provide for your signature.<\/li>
  2. Five (5) passport-sized photographs.<\/li>
  3. Copy of your passport's complete pages with a minimum validity of three months.<\/li>
  4. Criminal record certificate from the country of origin or residence, duly apostilled or authenticated at the Consulate of Panama in the country where it was issued.<\/li>
  5. Certificate of good health issued by a doctor in Panama.<\/li>
  6. Payment of B\/.250.00 to the National Treasury for the right to migratory category. (Certified check)<\/li>
  7. Payment of B\/.800.00 to the National Immigration Service for repatriation deposit. (Certified check)<\/li>
  8. Employment contract registered at the Ministry of Labor.<\/li>
  9. Company\u2019s employment letter signed by the legal representative, stating position and salary.<\/li>
  10. Copy of the Company's Operating Notice.<\/li>
  11. Copy of the company's Public Registry certificate.<\/li>
  12. Copy of the resolution and card through which the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development approves your work permit.<\/li>
  13. Proof of affiliation to the Social Security (CSS) and copy of the card.<\/li>
  14. National Tax Clearance Certificate of the company.<\/li><\/ol>

    To apply for permanent residence, the above requirements must be submitted, excluding the Certificate of Criminal Record, CSS affiliation proof, and checks.<\/p>

    Requirements for the work permit:<\/p>

    Upon obtaining this residence visa, it is mandatory to obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development for your application to be approved by the National Immigration Service.<\/p>

    To apply for the work permit based on authorized percentages according to the Labor Code at the Ministry of Labor, the following requirements must be met:<\/p>

    1. Complete the online registration process.<\/li>
    2. Powers of attorney that we will provide for your signature.<\/li>
    3. Certificate issued by the National Migration Service indicating the applicant's immigration status.<\/li>
    4. Copy of the main page of the passport.<\/li>
    5. Copy of the temporary card issued by the National Immigration Service.<\/li>
    6. Employment contract registered at the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development.<\/li>
    7. Copy of the Public Registry certificate of the hiring company.<\/li>
    8. Copy of the Operating notice of the hiring company.<\/li>
    9. Copy of the Social Security affiliation certificate.<\/li>
    10. Copy of the Social Security payroll and proof of payment of the last payroll.<\/li>
    11. In the case of companies with more than twenty employees on the payroll, a certification issued by a Panamanian Certified Public Accountant certifying payroll data must be provided.<\/li><\/ol>

      This work permit, once approved, is granted for a period of two years, and can be renewed for three years per extension, up to a maximum of three extensions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
