Professional Foreigner visa: <\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Foreign professionals may apply for this permit if their profession is not restricted by the Constitution of the Republic of Panama or by law. To view the list of professions reserved for Panamanians here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>

The residence visa as a Professional Foreigner is granted for a period of two years, and subsequently, you may apply for permanent residence visa with the right to a permanent resident card issued by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama. This is done through a second application upon the expiration of the initial visa.<\/p>

Requirements for Provisional Residence visa:<\/p>

  1. Powers of attorney and forms that we will provide for your signature.<\/li>
  2. Five (5) passport-sized photographs.<\/li>
  3. Copy of your passport with a minimum validity of three months.<\/li>
  4. Criminal record certificate from the country of origin or residence, duly apostilled or authenticated at the Consulate of Panama in the country where it was issued.<\/li>
  5. Certificate of good health issued by a doctor in Panama.<\/li>
  6. Payment of B\/.250.00 to the National Treasury for the right to migratory category. (Certified check)<\/li>
  7. Payment of B\/.800.00 to the National Immigration Service for repatriation deposit. (Certified check)<\/li>
  8. Copy of the diploma or university degree, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate, duly apostilled or authenticated.
    1. If the diploma is Panamanian, it must have the seal of a true copy of the original from the issuing university.<\/li>
    2. If the diploma is foreign, must include certification of the homologation issued by the National University of Panama.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>

      To apply for permanent residence visa, all the above requirements will be submitted, excluding the Certificate of Criminal Record and payments to the government.<\/p>

      This residence visa allows you to apply for a work permit to work in Panama with the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development.<\/p>

      Holders of a residence visa for professional foreigners, can apply for migrant worker permits contracted by an employer within ten percent (10%) quota, migrant worker contracted by an employer within fifteen percent (15%) quota, migrant worker contracted by a micro or small employer (MIPE\/SMB), and migrant worker contracted as executive of an international company, whose transactions are perfected, consumed, or have their effect abroad.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
