Permanent residency visa based on economic solvency by a fixed-term deposit
Foreigners who invest a minimum amount of three hundred thousand balboas (B/.300,000.00) in a fixed-term deposit and can demonstrate that the funds come from abroad can apply for this residency Visa.
This visa is granted for a period of two years, and subsequently, upon expiration, the applicant may apply for permanent residence with the right to a permanent resident card issued by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama.
To include dependents, an additional investment of B/. 2,000.00 is required.
The requirements to apply for provisional residence are as follows:
- Powers of attorney and forms that we will provide for your signature.
- Five (5) passport-sized photographs.
- Copy of your passport's complete pages with a minimum validity of three months.
- Criminal record certificate from the country of origin or residence, duly apostilled or authenticated at the Consulate of Panama in the country where it was issued.
- Certificate of good health issued by a doctor in Panama.
- Payment of B/.250.00 to the National Treasury for the right to migratory category. (Certified check)
- Payment of B/.800.00 to the National Immigration Service for repatriation deposit. (Certified check)
- Bank certification indicating the opening of a fixed-term deposit account in the name of the applicant, for the amount of three hundred thousand balboas (B/.300,000.00) or its equivalent in foreign currency, with a minimum duration of three (3) years, in any general license bank in the national territory. This fixed-term deposit must be free of liens.
- Copy of the fixed-term certificate authenticated by the bank.
To apply for permanent residency, the above requirements must be submitted except for the Certificate of Criminal Records and the checks.
