PERMANENT RESIDENCE VISA UNDER SPECIAL LAWS PURSUANT TO THE TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP, COMMERCE, AND NAVIGATION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF PANAMA AND THE REPUBLIC OF ITALY
This residence visa is granted permanently upon the first request and grants the right to the permanent resident card issued by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama.
Requirements for permanent residence:
- Powers of attorney and forms that we will provide for your signature.
- Five (5) passport-sized photographs.
- Copy of your passport with a minimum validity of three months.
- Criminal record certificate from the country of origin or residence, duly apostilled or authenticated at the Consulate of Panama in the country where it was issued.
- Certificate of good health issued by a doctor in Panama.
- Payment of B/.250.00 to the National Treasury for the right to migratory category. (Certified check)
- Document demonstrating the purpose of establishing residence (economic or professional activity to be carried out):
This can be demonstrated with the following documents:- For investment reasons:
- Certificate of shares, issued and paid, in the name of the applicant.
- Public Registry Certificate of the company where the applicant is a director and dignitary.
- For employment reasons:
- Employment contract registered at the Ministry of Labor with USD 850.00 monthly, minimum salary.
- Public Registry Certificate of the employing company.
- Operation Notice of the employing company.
- Employment letter from the employing company.
- For investment reasons:
- Proof that the resident has sufficient economic solvency, which can be evidenced by a bank certification or bank statement from the last month reflecting a balance of at least four mid-figures with the bank's seal.
- Copy of the Italian identity document or, alternatively, a certification of Italian citizenship issued by the Embassy of Italy in the Republic of Panama.
Requirements to apply for a work permit:
By obtaining this residence permit, you will be eligible for an indefinite work permit that allows you to work in Panama at the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development.
To apply for this work permit with the Ministry of Labor, you must meet the following requirements:
- Complete the registration process.
- Powers of attorney that we will provide for your signature.
- Certificate issued by the National Migration Service indicating the applicant's immigration status.
- Copy of the main page of the passport.
- Copy of the permanent residence visa card issued by the National Migration Service, or a copy of the permanent resident card issued by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama duly authenticated by the respective entity, if applicable.
- Authenticated copy of the resolution issued by the National Migration Service granting permanent residence.
